These groups explore the demands and ways to cope with caring for a loved one and provide valuable information and resources. These groups are open to all current and former caregivers of an elderly relative, partner, or friend. All groups listed are FREE of charge. Please be sure to RSVP to the appropriate contact before attending a support group.
Title: "Smoother Sailing" Alzheimer Education and Support Group

Description: We will learn behavioral techniques called Habilitation therapy. We will problem solve how to manage
challenges like bathing, eating, and toileting, and anxiety. Our goal is to make "smoother sailing" of your every
day care. We also will look at therapeutic activities to brighten everyone's day. "While we can not stop the stormy
winds of dementia diseases, we can together how to better adjust our sails." Join other caregivers
for refreshments and discussion in a caring, relaxed, and confidential setting on a monthly
basis.
